If you are driving, start from the center of Tashiyangtse. Head east on the main road (Bumthang-Tashiyangtse Highway) for approximately 2.5 kilometers until you reach the junction for Jakar. Take the left turn and continue for about 10 kilometers. You will see signs for Jakar Dzong. The dzong is located at Jakhar Dzongkhag Office, Jakar. There is parking available nearby.

For public transportation, you can take a local bus or shared taxi from Tashiyangtse to Jakar. Buses leave from the main bus station in Tashiyangtse multiple times a day. The fare is approximately 50 Ngultrum, and the journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Jakar, you can either walk or take a taxi to the dzong, which is about a 10-minute walk or a short taxi ride.
