Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the center of Thimphu, head towards the main traffic circle (Norzin Lam). From there, walk along Norzin Lam heading northeast. After approximately 500 meters, you will reach the junction near the Clock Tower. At this junction, take a left onto Changangkha Lhakhang Footpath. Continue walking straight, and after about 1 kilometer, you will see signs directing you towards Changangkha Lhakhang. The temple is situated on a hill, so you may need to take a short uphill walk. The entire journey should take around 20-30 minutes.

If you are at the Tashichho Dzong, which is a prominent landmark in Thimphu, exit the Dzong and head towards the main road (Norzin Lam). From there, walk south for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Clock Tower junction. Take a right at the junction onto Changangkha Lhakhang Footpath, and follow the same directions as above. This route should take approximately 30 minutes.

If you are at the National Memorial Chorten, exit the Chorten area and walk towards the main road. Head southwest along Chhoten Lam for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Norzin Lam. Turn left onto Norzin Lam and continue until you reach the Clock Tower junction. From there, follow the directions to take a left onto Changangkha Lhakhang Footpath and proceed to the temple. This route will take about 30-40 minutes.
