Walking
If you are starting from Thimphu city center, head towards the Changangkha Lhakhang. Walk along Norzin Lam and then take a right onto Chhoten Lam. Keep walking straight until you reach the main roundabout. From there, take the exit towards the Bhutan Post office. Continue walking straight for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the traffic light intersection. At this intersection, turn left onto the road leading to the Wangdue Phodrang highway. Follow the road for approximately 2 kilometers, and you will see signs pointing to Chimi Lhakhang. The walk will take roughly 50-60 minutes.

Public Transport
From the main bus station in Thimphu, board a bus heading towards Wangdue Phodrang. The fare is very economical. Inform the driver that you want to visit Chimi Lhakhang. After about 30 minutes of travel, you will reach a stop near the entrance to Chimi Lhakhang. From the bus stop, it is a short 10-15 minute walk to the temple. Follow the signs and the path leading to the temple entrance.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Thimphu. Start your journey from the city center, cycling towards the Wangdue Phodrang highway via Norzin Lam and Chhoten Lam. After reaching the main roundabout, take the exit towards the Bhutan Post office. Continue cycling straight for about 2 kilometers, and you will see signs for Chimi Lhakhang. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your cycling speed.
