Walking
If you are in the center of Thimphu, start at the Clock Tower Square. Head south on Norzin Lam towards the Tashichho Dzong. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Wangchu River. Turn left onto the road along the river, and follow it for about 5 minutes. You will see a sign for Chimi Lhakhang on your right. Follow this road for another 15 minutes, and you will reach the temple complex.

From the main bus terminal in Thimphu, take a local bus heading towards Punakha. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Chimi Lhakhang. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you get off, follow the signs leading to the temple, which is a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Thimphu. Start at the Clock Tower Square and head south towards Tashichho Dzong. Continue along the Wangchu River until you see a turnoff for Chimi Lhakhang. This route is about 6 kilometers and should take you around 25-30 minutes of cycling.
