Getting There

Walking
Start your journey at the Clock Tower Square in Thimphu, a central landmark. From the Clock Tower, head east on Norzin Lam. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Chubachu Road. Take a left onto Chubachu Road and walk for about 10 minutes. You will come to a junction; take a right onto the road leading uphill towards Sangaygang. This road is steep and may require a bit of effort to walk. Follow this road for approximately 30 minutes, and you will reach Sangaygang View Point. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful scenery and the peaceful atmosphere.

Hiking
If you prefer a more adventurous route, you can start from the base of the Buddha Dordenma statue, which is another iconic landmark in Thimphu. From the statue, follow the hiking trail that leads uphill towards Sangaygang View Point. This trail can be steep and rocky, so make sure to wear good walking shoes. The hike will take you about 45 minutes to 1 hour. You’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the Thimphu valley along the way.
