Getting There

From the center of Thimphu, head towards the Tashichho Dzong, which is a prominent landmark. Once you reach the Dzong, continue on the main road, Norzin Lam, and take a left onto the road that leads to Sangaygang View Point. The path to the viewpoint is well-marked, and you will ascend gradually. It takes about 30-40 minutes to walk from Tashichho Dzong to the viewpoint, and you will enjoy scenic views along the way.

For a more adventurous route, start at the National Memorial Chorten, located in the city center. From there, take the trail that leads uphill towards Sangaygang. This route is a bit steeper and more rugged, taking approximately 1 hour, but you will be rewarded with beautiful views of the city and the surrounding hills. Follow the trail signs or ask locals for directions if needed.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle in Thimphu and head towards Sangaygang View Point. Start at the main clock tower square and follow the main road (Norzin Lam) towards Tashichho Dzong.
