Bus
From Thimphu, head to the main bus station located near the clock tower. Look for buses headed to Punakha; they typically leave every hour. The journey takes about 2.5 hours. Once you arrive in Punakha, get off at the bus station.

After arriving at the Punakha bus station, you can walk to the Suspension Bridge. Exit the station and head south on the main road. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Punakha Dzong. From there, turn left towards the bridge; it is about 15-20 minutes on foot.
