Getting There

Walking
Start at the central bus station in Trashigang. Head northwest on the main road (Trashigang to Samdrup Jongkhar highway). Walk for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction that leads to the Trashigang Dzong. Turn right at the junction and continue straight. After approximately 500 meters, you will see a sign for Gongthung. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers. Keep an eye out for a small footpath on your left that leads directly to Gongthung. The path may be steep in some areas, so be cautious. The entire journey should take around 45 minutes to 1 hour on foot.
