Getting There

Car
From the center of Tsirang, head east on the Tsirang-Debsi Road. Continue for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction for the Gelephu Highway. Turn left onto the Gelephu Highway and drive for another 40 kilometers. As you approach the border area, keep an eye out for the sign for Mothambil F V, Assam. After reaching Mothambil, you will see the Bhutan Foothills area. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition as some parts of the road may be uneven.

Public Transportation
Start at Tsirang Bus Station and board a bus heading towards Gelephu. The journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Gelephu, change to a local taxi or shared vehicle heading towards Mothambil. This leg of the journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to inform the driver of your destination, Bhutan Foothills, to ensure they drop you off at the nearest point. Expect to pay around 100-200 Nu for the bus and an additional 200-300 Nu for the taxi ride.
