Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the center of Tsirang, head northwest on the main road towards Punakha. Continue for approximately 30 km until you reach the junction of Teoprongchu. Turn left at the junction and follow the road for about 5 km. Look for signs directing you to Chimi Lhakhang. There is a parking area near the temple.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Chimi Lhakhang via public transportation, take a local bus or shared taxi from Tsirang towards Punakha. The bus will drop you off at Teoprongchu junction. From there, you can either walk (approximately 5 km) to Chimi Lhakhang or hire a local taxi for a short ride. The taxi fare should be around 150-200 BTN.

    If you prefer to walk from Teoprongchu junction to Chimi Lhakhang, take the left turn at the junction and follow the trail that leads to the temple. The walk is pleasant and will take approximately 1 hour. Ensure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path can be uneven.
