Getting There

Walking
Start your journey from the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, which is centrally located in the town. Head south on the main road (Wangdue Phodrang - Lobesa Highway) for about 1 km until you reach the junction leading to Dochula. At the junction, follow the signs pointing towards Dochula Pass. Continue along this road for approximately 23 km. As you approach Dochula, you will see the Druk Wangyel Tshechu Ground on your left, just past the Druk Wangyal Lhakhang. The area is typically marked with vibrant flags and is a well-known site, making it easy to spot.

Hiking
For a more adventurous route, start at the base of the Dochula Pass trails near the Royal Botanical Park. Follow the marked hiking trails that lead up towards Dochula. The hike is about 6 km and provides a stunning view of the Himalayas. Once you reach the top at Dochula Pass, the Druk Wangyel Tshechu Ground will be visible nearby. Take the path leading down towards the Tshechu Ground from the pass. Always ensure you have sufficient water and wear proper hiking gear.
