Getting There

  • Walking

    Start your journey from the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, which is centrally located in the town. Head south on the main road (Wangdue Phodrang - Lobesa Highway) for about 1 km until you reach the junction leading to Dochula. At the junction, follow the signs pointing towards Dochula Pass. Continue along this road for approximately 23 km. As you approach Dochula, you will see the Druk Wangyel Tshechu Ground on your left, just past the Druk Wangyal Lhakhang. The area is typically marked with vibrant flags and is a well-known site, making it easy to spot.

    For a more adventurous route, start at the base of the Dochula Pass trails near the Royal Botanical Park. Follow the marked hiking trails that lead up towards Dochula.
