The trail begins at the outskirts of the village, where you will see a sign indicating the path to Talakha Monastery. The hike from Rinchengang to Talakha Monastery takes around 2-3 hours, depending on your pace. The trail is steep and ascends through beautiful pine forests, offering stunning views of the surrounding hills. Upon reaching the monastery, take a moment to explore the area before continuing your trek to Talakha Peak, which is a further 1-2 hours hike from the monastery. Follow the marked trail from the monastery to the peak, and be prepared for a challenging but rewarding ascent. The total hiking distance is approximately 7 km one way, so plan accordingly and carry enough water and snacks.
