Car
If you are traveling by car from La Paz, head towards the south on Avenida 16 de Julio, then take the exit onto Avenida Costanera. Continue on this road, following signs for 'Valle de la Luna'. After about 10 km, you will arrive at the entrance to Valle de la Luna. Parking is available on-site, and there may be a small entrance fee of around 30 BOB (Bolivian Bolivianos).
Public Transportation (Minibus)
From the city center of La Paz, you can catch a minibus (often labeled 'Mallasa') from the San Francisco Church area. The ride to Valle de la Luna takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they are going to Valle de la Luna. The fare is typically around 5-10 BOB. Once you arrive at the entrance, you will need to pay the entrance fee of around 30 BOB.
Taxi
For a more direct option, you can take a taxi from La Paz to Valle de la Luna. This will be more expensive, usually costing between 60-100 BOB depending on the time of day and negotiation with the driver. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes. Ensure the taxi driver knows your destination by showing them the address: CWM4+3C4, La Paz. Confirm the fare before starting your journey.
