From Chacaltaya, head back down the mountain on the main road towards La Paz. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach the intersection with the main road (Avenida 6 de Agosto). Turn left onto this road and continue driving for about 15 minutes until you see signs for Valle de la Luna. Turn right onto the road marked towards Valle de la Luna. Follow this road for another 10 minutes until you arrive at the entrance to Valle de la Luna. Parking is available at the site, and there is a small entrance fee of approximately 15 BOB.

Public Transportation
From Chacaltaya, you will need to return to La Paz. You can take a taxi or a shared ride back down the mountain. Once in La Paz, navigate to the Plaza San Francisco, where you can find buses heading towards Valle de la Luna. Look for a bus marked 'Mallasa,' which will take you directly to the entrance of Valle de la Luna. The bus ride will take around 30-40 minutes and costs about 3 BOB. Once you arrive, there is a small entrance fee of around 15 BOB to enter Valle de la Luna.
