If you are in the area of Plaza Murillo (the main square in La Paz), start by heading northwest towards Calle Potosí. Continue straight for about 5 minutes until you reach Calle Sagarnaga. Turn right on Calle Sagarnaga and walk for approximately 3 minutes. The Basilica of Saint Francis will be on your right at Sagarnaga 173.

From the San Francisco Church area, find a minibus that goes towards the 'El Alto' direction; these are usually marked with a sign. Get on the minibus and ask the driver to drop you off at Sagarnaga. The journey should take about 10-15 minutes. Once you get off, walk a short distance to Sagarnaga 173, where the Basilica of Saint Francis is located.
