If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the nearest city, Puno, Peru, or La Paz, Bolivia. From Puno, head south on the Pan-American Highway (Route 3S) for about 30 kilometers until you reach the border with Bolivia. After crossing the border, continue on Route 30 until you reach the town of Copacabana, which is about 15 kilometers from the border. From Copacabana, follow the signs towards Lago Titicaca. The lake is approximately 10 kilometers from town. Note that you may need to pay a small fee at the border for entry into Bolivia.

For those opting for public transportation, buses frequently run from Puno to Copacabana. You can catch a bus from the main bus terminal in Puno, which will take about 3 hours. The ticket price ranges from 30 to 50 Peruvian Soles. Once in Copacabana, you can either walk or take a taxi to Lago Titicaca, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus station.
