Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards the town of Copacabana, located on the shores of Lake Titicaca. From Copacabana, take the road leading to the town of Yumani on the Isla del Sol. Once you reach Yumani, park your car in the designated parking area. From there, the Inca Stairs are a short hike away. Follow the signs leading to the Inca Stairs; the path is well-marked and should take you approximately 20-30 minutes walking.
Public Transportation
To reach Inca Stairs using public transportation, take a bus or shared taxi from La Paz to Copacabana. Buses leave regularly from La Paz's main bus terminal and the journey takes about 3-4 hours (costing around 30-50 BOB). Once in Copacabana, look for boats that head to Isla del Sol. The boat ride will take about 1-1.5 hours and will cost around 20-30 BOB. After arriving at the Isla del Sol, walk to the village of Yumani, which takes about 15-20 minutes. The Inca Stairs are then a short hike from Yumani, following the signs.
