Car
From the main town of Copacabana, head east on Avenida 6 de Agosto towards Calle 27 de Noviembre. Continue straight onto the road leading to the border with Peru. After approximately 20 km, you will reach the town of Marcollo. Look for the signs for Aramu Muru, which is located about 10 km further along the road. Be prepared for some unpaved sections of road as you approach the archaeological site.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from Copacabana to the town of Marcollo. Buses leave frequently from the main terminal and the journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Marcollo, you can hire a local taxi or a mototaxi to take you to Aramu Muru, which is about 10 km away. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Marcollo to Aramu Muru, it’s a scenic trek of about 10 km. Follow the main road heading northeast from Marcollo. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the walk can take around 2-3 hours depending on your pace.
