Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Copacabana. Head southwest on Route 2 towards Oruro. After approximately 10 kilometers, take a left onto Route 4 towards La Plata. Continue driving for about 50 kilometers until you reach La Plata. The Faro de Conchupata is located approximately 5 kilometers outside of La Plata, following the signs for the lighthouse. Make sure to have a GPS or a map handy, as the roads can be winding and sometimes poorly marked.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Faro de Conchupata via public transportation, start at the main bus terminal in Copacabana. Look for buses heading to Oruro or La Paz. Ensure you confirm that the bus will stop at La Plata. The bus ride should take around 3-4 hours and will cost approximately 30-50 BOB. Once you arrive in La Plata, you can either walk or take a local taxi to reach Faro de Conchupata, which is about a 15-minute drive from the bus stop.
