Bus
Start at the main bus terminal in Tarija, which is located at Calle Sucre, near the Plaza Luis de Fuentes. Take a bus heading towards 'Choroma' or 'Pampa Grande'. Buses usually leave every hour, but it’s best to check the schedule in advance. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Inform the driver or the assistant that you want to get off at the stop for Chorros de Marquiri.
Shared Taxi (Trufi)
From the main plaza in Tarija, walk to the nearest Trufi stop. Look for a shared taxi going towards 'Choroma' or 'Pampa Grande'. Trufis are a convenient alternative to buses; they leave when full and may be slightly quicker. The fare is usually around 10-15 BOB per person. Once you reach Choroma, ask the driver to drop you off at the closest point to Chorros de Marquiri.
Walking
After reaching Choroma by bus or Trufi, you will need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to get to Chorros de Marquiri. Head towards the main road (Route 1) and follow the signs or ask locals for directions. The path is relatively straightforward, but be prepared for some uneven terrain. It should take about 30-40 minutes on foot. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
