Getting There

    From Torotoro National Park, head towards the town of Torotoro. You will need to travel approximately 9 kilometers northwest to reach the unpaved road that connects to the main highway. Once you arrive at the highway, turn right and continue for about 50 kilometers until you reach the town of Samaipata. In Samaipata, follow the signs for Parque Nacional Amboró. The entrance to the park is approximately 20 kilometers from the town center. Note that road conditions can vary, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

    Begin your journey by taking a local minibus or shared taxi from Torotoro to the nearest larger town, which is Punata. This leg of the journey will cost you around 10 BOB. From Punata, you can catch another minibus heading to Samaipata. The fare for this trip is usually around 15 BOB. Once you arrive in Samaipata, you can either hike to the park entrance (about 20 kilometers away) or arrange for a local taxi, which may cost around 50 BOB to take you directly to Parque Nacional Amboró.
