Getting There

Walking
From the main square in Baščaršija, head towards the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque. Once you reach the mosque, continue walking straight along the main street, which is called Sarači. This street will take you through the heart of Baščaršija, filled with shops and restaurants. Keep an eye out for the old bazaar atmosphere. After approximately 10 minutes of walking, you will see a large building with a red and yellow façade on your left – this is the Sarajevo City Hall.

If you are further away in Baščaršija, you can take a tram from the nearest tram stop, which is at Wilson’s Promenade. Board tram number 3 or 6 heading towards the city center. Stay on the tram for about 5 minutes and get off at the 'Trg Austrije' stop. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk. Head back towards the direction of the tram you just came from, and after crossing the road, walk straight until you see Sarajevo City Hall on your right.
