Srebrenik Fortress, a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stands as a testament to the region's captivating past. The fortress changed hands multiple times, witnessing sieges and battles. In 1363, King Louis I of Hungary's army suffered significant losses near Srebrenik. Later, the fortress was captured by King Sigismund of Luxembourg, only to be retaken by Bosnian forces. The fortress played a crucial role in the defense against Ottoman attacks, leading to the creation of the Banate of Srebrenik in 1464.
