Getting There

Air
The most convenient way to reach Savuti is by flying into Savuti Airstrip via a chartered flight from Kasane (BBK) or Maun (MUB). Wilderness Air and Mack Air offer charter services. The flight from Kasane is approximately 30 minutes, and from Maun, it's about 40 minutes. From the airstrip, a 20-minute road transfer will take you to your lodge. Charter flights are typically arranged by your tour operator.

Savuti can be reached by 4x4 vehicle, primarily during the dry season (April to October). From Kasane, the drive is long and challenging, taking 6-8 hours. Alternatively, you can drive from Maun via Moremi Game Reserve and/or the Khwai Concession, which is a two-day journey. Roads are sandy and may be flooded seasonally, requiring a reliable 4x4 vehicle. Park entrance fees for international visitors are approximately BWP 270 per person per day, plus BWP 115 per vehicle per day. These fees are payable in BWP cash upon arrival at the park gates or by card/cash at the DWNP offices in Maun or Kasane.
