    Boat

    Chobe Savanna Lodge is primarily accessed by boat from Kasane, Botswana. Upon arrival at Kasane International Airport (BBK), a road transfer takes you to Kasane Immigration jetty, roughly 10 minutes away. After clearing immigration, a boat transfer of approximately one hour brings you to the lodge. This boat journey offers a scenic introduction to the Chobe River and its wildlife. The boat transfer is typically included in the lodge rates.

    Road/Boat from Victoria Falls or Livingstone

    From Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) or Livingstone (Zambia), a two-hour road and boat transfer to Kasane is required. Ensure arrival in Livingstone or Victoria Falls no later than 13:00 to allow sufficient time for the transfer, as the Namibian border closes at 16:00. After arriving in Kasane, you will need to take a boat to the lodge. This boat journey offers a scenic introduction to the Chobe River and its wildlife. The boat transfer is typically included in the lodge rates.

Situated on the northern bank of the Chobe River, the lodge offers a secluded and intimate safari experience, far removed from the bustling town of Kasane.The lodge's location is exceptional, providing remarkable 270-degree views of the Chobe River and its surrounding floodplains from the main building. This setting allows guests to witness the natural world unfold, with frequent sightings of large elephant herds, buffalo, and hippos, as well as other wildlife like lions, leopards, and wild dogs, all drawn to the river's edge. Birdwatchers will be delighted by the abundant avian life, including seasonal flocks of carmine bee-eaters and various species of storks, ducks, and waterfowl.Chobe Savanna Lodge accommodates a maximum of 26 guests in beautifully furnished thatched chalets, ensuring a private and personalized safari. Explorer David Livingstone passed through the area in the 1850s.
