Kubu Lodge, established in 1986, stands as a testament to owner-managed hospitality in the Chobe region. Situated on the banks of the Chobe River, near the town of Kasane, the lodge provides a unique blend of tranquility and access to the untamed African wilderness. Just 2km from the confluence of the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers, it's ideally located in the heart of the KAZA region, where four countries – Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe – meet.The lodge features 11 individual wooden chalets, each built on raised wooden decks that offer panoramic views of the Chobe River. These thatched chalets provide a comfortable and immersive experience, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the surrounding birdlife and peaceful atmosphere. Each chalet includes an en-suite bathroom, mosquito nets, tea and coffee facilities, and a private deck.The grounds of Kubu Lodge span 30 hectares of forest reserve, creating a sanctuary for local wildlife like the Chobe bushbuck, which can often be spotted from the chalets. The lodge also boasts a swimming pool, an indoor dining room, a lounge and bar area, and a summerhouse/reading lounge.
