Getting There

  • Driving

    To reach Tau Game Lodge by car, navigate towards Zeerust via the N4 toll road from Johannesburg (approximately R120 in tolls). In Zeerust, turn right at President Street onto the R49 towards Gaborone. Follow the R49 for about 97km, then turn right onto the Derdepoort Gate road. Continue for approximately 10km to the Tau Lodge gate. Note that there is an entrance fee to the Madikwe Game Reserve, typically paid at the lodge. As of July 2025, the entrance fee is approximately R200 per adult per stay. Also, be aware of the gate times, which are generally from 6:00 to 18:00.
