Driving
From Gweta, head south-east towards the Tswagong Veterinary Gate. The route crosses the Ntwetwe Pan and can be muddy during the rainy season, so exercise caution. After the gate, continue towards Thabatshukudu. Makgadikgadi Adventure Camp is situated 19km from Kubu Island on the northern side of the veterinary cordon fence. A 4x4 vehicle is essential. There are no toll fees. Expect the drive from Gweta to take approximately 3-4 hours.

From Letlhakane, take the road towards Mmatshumo. Continue past Mmatshumo towards the Makomojema Gate. After passing through the gate, follow the tracks for approximately 26km, turning right at the fork to reach Kubu Island. Makgadikgadi Adventure Camp is situated 19km from Kubu Island on the northern side of the veterinary cordon fence. A 4x4 vehicle is essential. Expect the drive from Mmatshumo to take approximately 2 hours.
