'Supa Ngwao' means 'to show culture' in Setswana.The museum's collections feature historical artifacts and traditional crafts, providing visitors with insights into the history and culture of the Kalanga people and other ethnic groups in the region. Exhibits include photographs, farming tools, woven baskets, and musical instruments. The museum also incorporates parts of a century-old Government Camp building, including a former prison and police canteen.In addition to its exhibits, the Supa Ngwao Museum offers guided walking tours of Francistown, highlighting historical sites such as the Old Jail House, the Hexagonal Building, and the Miners' Cottage. The museum also includes an information center and a craft shop where visitors can purchase locally made goods, supporting local artisans.
