This submerged sinkhole is one of the deepest flooded caves in Brazil.Lagoa Misteriosa offers a unique experience for both snorkelers and divers. Snorkeling allows visitors to explore the upper layers of the lagoon and witness the fascinating underwater formations. For certified divers, the lagoon offers varying depths depending on certification level, with advanced divers able to explore depths up to 25 meters. A 'baptism' dive is available for beginners, reaching a maximum depth of 8 meters. Divers can explore the underwater world filled with colorful fish and unique geological formations.Note that the lagoon is not open year-round. Due to a natural proliferation of microalgae, the water becomes murky between mid-October and mid-April, leading to the closure of the attraction. The best time to visit is during the dry season, from May to September.
