Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the central area of Plano Piloto, you can simply walk to Catedral Metropolitana Nossa Senhora Aparecida. Head towards the Esplanada dos Ministérios. From the National Museum of the Republic, walk down the Eixo Monumental towards the east. Continue straight until you reach the cathedral, which is located on the right side at Esplanada dos Ministérios, lote 12. The walk is approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on your starting point.

• Public Bus

  If you prefer to use public transportation, catch a bus heading to the Esplanada dos Ministérios from any major bus stop in Plano Piloto. Look for buses with the destination 'Esplanada' or 'Praça dos Três Poderes'. The fare is usually around R$ 4.50. Once you arrive at the Esplanada dos Ministérios stop, exit the bus and walk towards the cathedral, which is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop.

• Metro (if applicable)

  Currently, there is no direct metro line to the Esplanada dos Ministérios. However, if you are near a metro station, you can take the metro to the Central Station and then transfer to a bus heading towards Esplanada dos Ministérios, as mentioned above. The metro fare is around R$ 3.00.

• Bicycle Rental

  For a more active approach, consider renting a bicycle. You can find bike rental stations throughout Plano Piloto. Head towards the Eixo Monumental and ride east until you reach Esplanada dos Ministérios. The cathedral will be on your right. Make sure to follow local cycling paths for safety. Rentals typically cost around R$ 10.00 per hour.
