Waterfall Martinha: A Natural Oasis

Getting There

• Car

  If driving from Chapada dos Guimarães, head southwest on Av. Dom Pedro II towards Rua Barão do Rio Branco. Continue onto MT-251 for about 14 km, following signs for 'Rio da Casca'. Look for signs for Waterfall Martinha as you approach the area. Be cautious of potholes on the dirt roads leading to the waterfall. Parking is available for R$10 per car.

• Public Transport

  To reach Waterfall Martinha via public transport, take a local bus from Chapada dos Guimarães to the Rio da Casca area. Look for buses heading to 'Rio da Casca' or 'Cuiabá', as they often stop near the waterfall. From the bus stop, it's approximately a 1 km walk to the waterfall. A round-trip bus fare typically costs around R$10.

• Walking

  If you're already near the waterfall after arriving by car or bus, the final leg is a short hike. Follow the marked trail from the parking area or bus stop. The trail is well-trodden but may have some uneven terrain, so wear appropriate footwear. The walk should take about 15-20 minutes.
