From the city center of Florianópolis, head to the main bus terminal, Terminal Rodoviário Rita Maria. Once at the terminal, look for the bus company 'Transporte Coletivo' and purchase a ticket for the route to 'Matadeiro'. The buses run approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes around 40-50 minutes. Make sure to inform the bus driver that you want to get off at Matadeiro Beach. The bus will drop you off near the entrance to the beach area.

Once you arrive at Matadeiro Beach, you will need to walk a short distance to reach the sand. From the bus stop, head down the main path towards the beach. You will see signs directing you towards Matadeiro Beach. The walk is about 5-10 minutes and will take you through a beautiful natural setting, with lush greenery on either side. Follow the sound of the ocean to guide you.

Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in the city. From the city center, take Avenida Jornalista Rubens de Arruda Ramos (also known as Beira Mar Norte) south. Continue along the coastline until you reach the access road to Matadeiro Beach. The ride is approximately 12 km and takes about an hour. Be cautious of traffic and follow bike lanes where available. Once you reach the beach access road, park your bicycle and walk the remaining distance to the beach.
