Start your journey by taking the bus from the center of Florianópolis. You can catch the 'Canto Grande' bus (line 360) from the main bus terminal, Terminal Rodoviário Rita Maria. Make sure to check the schedule as it may vary, but buses typically run every 30 minutes. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Canto Grande stop, you will be only a short walk from Praia do Cação.

After getting off at the Canto Grande bus stop, walk towards the beach. Head down Rua Canto Grande until you reach the waterfront. Follow the beach path to your left (north) along the coast for about 10-15 minutes. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Praia do Cação, which is located within Parque Natural Municipal Morro do Macaco. The beach is known for its beautiful scenery and natural surroundings.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Florianópolis. Use the same bus route to Canto Grande, then bike along the coast. The ride from Canto Grande to Praia do Cação will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Follow the same route as mentioned above along the beach path.
