Over time, she added more plants and flowers to attract the birds, creating a wonderful space for relaxation and contemplation. Today, the garden is a popular spot for visitors to observe numerous hummingbirds sipping nectar from colorful feeders. The tranquil atmosphere is enhanced by over 300 species of plants, providing a delightful experience for nature enthusiasts. Knowledgeable staff are available to share insights into the local wildlife, enhancing your visit with interesting facts and stories about the birds you encounter. The garden is home to around 8 different species and more than 150 hummingbirds, along with other birds that feed on seeds and fruits, all in total freedom. Benches are strategically placed throughout the garden, allowing for excellent views of the birds, sometimes from less than a meter away. In addition to birdwatching, Jardin de los Picaflores also serves as an animal shelter and nature preserve, reflecting a commitment to wildlife conservation.
