Once you arrive at Bananal, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Whale Beach, which is about a 10-minute ride from the ferry terminal.
Public Transportation

To reach Whale Beach using public transportation, first, make your way to the main bus station in Ilha Grande. Take a bus that goes to Angra dos Reis, which usually operates several times a day. The bus ride takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Angra dos Reis, head to the ferry terminal and board a ferry to Bananal. The ferry ride will take approximately 1 hour, and from the Bananal ferry terminal, you can either walk or take a local taxi to reach Whale Beach, which is about 10 minutes away.

If you prefer a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi from any location in Ilha Grande that can take you to the ferry terminal in Angra dos Reis. The taxi ride will take around 20 minutes. Once at the ferry terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Bananal, which costs approximately BRL 30. After reaching Bananal, a local taxi can take you to Whale Beach for an additional cost of about BRL 20.
