  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, head towards the north of São Paulo on the BR-101 highway. Once you reach Ilhabela, continue along the coastal road until you reach the ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Ilhabela, which usually costs around R$ 20 per vehicle. After disembarking, follow the signs to the north of the island. Drive towards the Castelhanos Road (Estrada de Castelhanos). The road is unpaved and may require a 4x4 vehicle, so be prepared for rough conditions. Follow the road for approximately 14 km until you reach Castelhanos Beach.

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    For those using public transportation, take a bus from São Paulo to Ilhabela. Buses leave from the Tietê Bus Terminal and can cost around R$ 100. Upon arriving at Ilhabela, you will need to take a local bus or taxi to the ferry terminal. After taking the ferry to Ilhabela, take another local bus heading north towards Castelhanos.
