If you are driving from Litoral Norte, take the BR-101 highway heading south towards Rio de Janeiro. Continue on BR-101 until you reach the junction with the Avenida Brasil (BR-040). Take the exit towards Avenida Brasil and follow the signs for Centro/Rio de Janeiro. Once in the city, follow the signs for Parque Nacional da Tijuca and then to the Christ the Redeemer. Expect to pay tolls on some highways, which can vary but typically cost around R$ 4 to R$ 10. Upon reaching the base of Christ the Redeemer, you will need to park your car and take a shuttle bus to the statue. The shuttle costs about R$ 30 per person, and it is advisable to book it in advance online to ensure availability.
