From the center of São João do Piauí, take BR-020 towards the dam. The journey is approximately 17 km and takes around 30 minutes. The road is generally in good condition, but be aware of potholes and animals on the road. There is free parking available near the dam.

Bus

Local city buses connect São João do Piauí to the Barragem de Jenipapo. Check with the local bus station for the current schedule and fares. The bus will drop you off near the entrance to the dam.

Taxi

Taxis are available in São João do Piauí and can take you to the dam. Expect to pay around R$30-R$50 for a one-way trip. Agree on the fare with the driver before you start your journey.
