The Fort of Santa Cruz de Itamaracá, commonly known as Forte Orange, is a historical landmark located on Itamaracá Island, off the coast of Pernambuco, Brazil. Constructed initially by the Dutch in 1631, the fort was named in honor of the House of Orange-Nassau. It played a crucial role in the control of trade and military operations between Olinda and Recife during the Dutch occupation.
