Public Transport

To reach Botafogo Beach using public transport, take the Metrô Rio (subway) to Botafogo Station. The metro fare is approximately R$5. From the station, walk towards Rua da Paz, then turn right and walk straight until you reach the beach (approximately 10 minutes). Alternatively, several buses serve Botafogo Beach; look for buses with the destination 'Praia de Botafogo'. The bus fare is around R$4.50. Bus lines include 455 and 484 from Santos Dumont Airport (SDU) with a fare of R$3.80.

Taxi/Ride-Share

Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber are readily available throughout Rio de Janeiro. A taxi ride from Copacabana to Botafogo Beach typically costs between R$14-R$18 and takes around 4 minutes, covering a distance of 4.1 km. From Galeão Airport (GIG), a taxi or ride-share to Botafogo Beach takes approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic.

Walking

If you are already in the Botafogo neighborhood or nearby areas like Flamengo or Copacabana, walking to Botafogo Beach is a viable option. From Copacabana, the walk is approximately 3.6 km and takes around 43 minutes. Follow the coastline, enjoying the views of Guanabara Bay and Sugarloaf Mountain.
