Getting There

Walking

From the entrance of Vidigal, the Mirante do Arvrão can be reached by kombi or mototaxi. Alternatively, the walk up the main road takes around 20-30 minutes, offering a glimpse into daily life in the favela. Be prepared for a steep incline. Once you reach the top of the community, follow signs for the Mirante do Arvrão. Kombi and mototaxi fares typically cost R$5-10.
Taxi/Ride-Share

Take a taxi or ride-share to the entrance of Vidigal. From there, due to the narrow streets and steep inclines, you will need to either walk, take a 'kombi' (local van), or a mototaxi to the Mirante do Arvrão. A taxi from Copacabana to the entrance of Vidigal will cost approximately R$30-40. The kombi/mototaxi from the entrance to the Mirante is an additional R$5-10.

The favela has become increasingly popular with tourists, drawn to its unique charm and the opportunity to experience a different side of Rio.Visiting Mirante do Arvrão not only provides a visual feast but also contributes to the local economy, supporting residents through tourism.
