Getting There

• Metro

  Start by taking the Metrô (Rio de Janeiro's metro) at any station that's convenient for you. If you’re near Copacabana or Ipanema, board the Line 1 (Orange Line) towards Jardim Oceânico. If you're in the downtown area, you can board at the Cinelândia station. Travel until you reach the Estácio station. At Estácio, transfer to Line 2 (Green Line) towards Pavuna. Ride the metro until you reach the Cinelândia station, where you will transfer back to Line 1 (Orange Line) towards Uruguai. Finally, get off at the Praça Mauá station. From there, it's a short walk to Pier Mauá.

  If you prefer to take the bus, locate the nearest bus stop and look for the lines that head towards downtown (Centro). Buses with the signs 'Centro' or 'Praça Mauá' will take you directly to the area. Once you arrive in the Praça Mauá, follow the signs to the waterfront, where Pier Mauá is located at Av. Rodrigues Alves, 10.

  If you are staying nearby, you can simply walk to Pier Mauá. Head towards Praça Mauá, which is easily accessible from various neighborhoods. Once you reach the Praça Mauá, look for Av. Rodrigues Alves. Walk along the avenue until you reach number 10, where Pier Mauá is situated. Enjoy the beautiful views of the waterfront along the way!

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy cycling, rent a bike from one of the available bike-sharing services in Rio. Navigate towards the waterfront area by following the designated bike lanes. Make your way to Praça Mauá and continue along Av. Rodrigues Alves until you reach Pier Mauá at number 10.

• Taxi/ride-sharing

  If you prefer a more direct route without walking, you can use a taxi or a ride-sharing app like Uber. Simply input 'Pier Mauá' or the address 'Av.
