Getting There

• Public Transport (Metro)

  Start by locating the nearest metro station. If you are in the Copacabana or Ipanema area, head to the Cardeal Arcoverde or General Osório metro stations, respectively. Take the metro towards the direction of Botafogo station, which is on Line 1 (the orange line). Once you arrive at Botafogo, exit the station and head towards Rua São Clemente. Walk up the street until you reach the intersection with Rua da Passagem. Turn right and walk straight until you arrive at Praia da Urca.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  If you are near the beach areas like Copacabana, you can catch a bus heading towards Urca. Look for bus lines such as '513' or '500' that have Urca in their route. The bus stop should be clearly marked. Once you board, stay alert for the stops and get off at Rua Lauro Müller. From there, walk towards the Urca neighborhood following the signs to Praia da Urca, which should be just a short walk away.

• Walking

  If you find yourself around the Botafogo area, you can also walk to Praia da Urca. Start from Praia de Botafogo and head towards the Urca neighborhood by walking along the waterfront. Follow the shoreline, and after approximately 20-30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at Praia da Urca, a beautiful beach with stunning views of Sugarloaf Mountain.

• Taxi or Ride-sharing

  For a more direct route, you can use a taxi or a ride-sharing app like Uber. Simply input 'Praia da Urca' into the app, and the driver will take you directly to the beach. This is especially convenient if you are carrying beach gear or prefer not to navigate public transport.
