From Rio's South Zone (Copacabana, Ipanema), take a bus to Urca. Several bus lines serve the area. Look for buses with 'Urca' on their route. Once in Urca, walk towards Praça General Tibúrcio, where Red Beach is located. Bus fares are typically around R$4.70.

From anywhere in Rio de Janeiro, a taxi or ride-sharing service (such as Uber or 99Taxis) can take you directly to Red Beach. The destination is Praia Vermelha, Urca. The lower station of the cable car to Sugarloaf Mountain is also nearby, making it a convenient starting point for exploring this iconic landmark.
