Getting there

Metro

Take the Metro Line 1 (Blue Line) towards General Osório. Get off at the 'Cardeal Arcoverde' station. From there, exit the station and walk towards Avenida Atlântica. After reaching Avenida Atlântica, you can catch a bus or walk to the Sugar Loaf area.

Bus

From the 'Cardeal Arcoverde' metro station, head to the bus stop located on Avenida Atlântica. Take the bus number 511 or 512 towards Urca. Get off at the stop named 'Praia Vermelha' and follow the signs leading to the Sugar Loaf cable car station located at Av. Pasteur, 520.

Walking

If you prefer to walk from the 'Cardeal Arcoverde' station, exit the station and walk towards Avenida Atlântica. Turn left and continue walking along the beach promenade. After approximately 1.5 km, you will reach Praia Vermelha. From there, follow the signs that lead you to the Sugar Loaf cable car station at Av. Pasteur, 520, Urca.
