From the metro station, take any exit to reach the surface of the square.

    Praça da República is located in a central area and is easily walkable from many nearby attractions. From the Municipal Theater, head west along Avenida São João for about 500 meters. The square will be on your left. Walking from the Mercado Municipal is approximately 1.5 km, heading west on Avenida Prestes Maia, turning left onto Avenida Ipiranga, and then right onto Rua 24 de Maio. The square will be on your right.
