From Gramado, take a bus to São Francisco de Paula. Buses run regularly from the Gramado bus station, and the journey takes about 1 hour. Upon arriving in São Francisco de Paula, you can walk to the lake, approximately 8 km from the bus station, or take a local taxi or rideshare service. A bus ticket from São Francisco de Paula to Canela costs around R$17.20. Be sure to check the bus schedule for the return trip to Gramado, as services may be limited in the evening.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can book a taxi or use a rideshare app from anywhere in Serra Gaúcha to Lake St. Bernard. This option is convenient if you're traveling in a group. Driving

If driving from Gramado, take the RS-115 highway towards São Francisco de Paula. After approximately 30 km, take the exit towards RS-020. Follow this road for about 15 km until you reach the town of São Francisco de Paula. Once in town, follow the signs to Lake St. Bernard (Lago São Bernardo). The lake is located approximately 8 km from the town center. Parking may be available near the lake for a fee.
