The most common way to reach Inhotim from Belo Horizonte is by bus. Saritur operates a daily bus service from the Rodoviária (main bus terminal) in Belo Horizonte to Inhotim. The bus departs at 8:15 AM and returns from Inhotim at 4:30 PM on weekdays and 5:30 PM on weekends and holidays. A roundtrip ticket costs R$78. From the Inhotim bus stop, it's a short walk to the museum entrance. Purchase tickets in advance at the bus terminal.

If driving from Belo Horizonte, take BR-381 or BR-040. The drive is approximately 60 km and takes about an hour. Free parking is available at Inhotim. Note that you can only move around the visiting areas by foot or using the internal transportation service. Consider that rental car rates in Belo Horizonte can start around R$78 per day. Tolls are not expected on the immediate final approach.
