Excursion to Tijuca National Park
The tour is very nice, I highlight the guide Barbara who explained everything very well. It is a Jeep trip where you can appreciate landscapes, greenery, wildlife, the history of the place.

Safe transportation

Birdwatching tour to Tijuca National Park with Pica-pau Tours
A must-do excursion for bird-nerds
Ric was our first introduction to the city of Rio and he really set the standard! Quick in communication, friendly and very knowledgeable. After 30+ hours of flying and little sleep, we were completely awake and in awe of the birds he helped us to spot and identify on our first morning in Rio. Ric's vocalisations were seriously impressive, too, and you can tell that he has a respect for the birdlife in Rio. Ric was patient when we couldn't get our binoculars in the right spot to sight the tiny and fast fly eaters. Ric's laser pointer was super helpful in guiding us. We enjoyed the coffee he provided, guava cake and white pizza. On the drive back to our accommodation we recapped our favourite birds (nearly all of them!) and he later on sent an identification list on E-bird. Ric knows Tijuca National Park like the back of his hand and it was a truly wonderful day trip. If you're in to birds, book this tour NOW! I'm not much of a photographer, but I have added some photos I took during our excursion.
