Ferry

The ferry from Tortola takes approximately 2.5 hours and makes a stop in Virgin Gorda. The round trip fare is approximately $55 for adults. From the ferry dock in Setting Point, the Anegada Sign is easily accessible.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available at Setting Point, where the ferry arrives. A taxi to the Anegada Sign, which is located near The Settlement, is a short ride. Taxi fares on Anegada are standardized. A one-way trip from Setting Point to locations like Anegada Beach Club, Cow Wreck Beach, or Loblolly Bay is approximately $20 for 1-2 passengers, or $10 per person for 3 or more passengers. Overview

The Anegada Sign is a simple marker that symbolizes arrival to Anegada, the northernmost and most unique island in the British Virgin Islands. Unlike the other volcanic islands in the BVI, Anegada is a flat island formed from coral and limestone. Its highest point reaches only 28 feet above sea level, hence its name, derived from the Spanish term "tierra anegada," meaning "flooded land".Located about 15 miles north of Virgin Gorda, Anegada offers a different Caribbean experience. The sign serves as a starting point for exploring the island's distinctive features, including its pristine white-sand beaches, the 18-mile-long Horseshoe Reef (one of the largest in the Caribbean), and its diverse wildlife. Keep an eye out for flamingos in the salt ponds and the endangered Anegada Rock Iguana.The Anegada Sign represents the beginning of an off-the-beaten-path adventure, inviting visitors to discover the serene beauty and natural wonders of this unspoiled Caribbean island.
