    Take a taxi or VITRAN bus from Cruz Bay to Lameshur Bay. From the Lameshur Bay bus stop, walk towards the trailhead for Beehive Cove Lookout Point. The trailhead is well-marked and begins just off the main road. The hike to the lookout point is about 15-20 minutes. Taxi fares from Cruz Bay to Lameshur Bay range from $20-$30 per person. The VITRAN bus is $1 per ride.

    From Cruz Bay, follow Route 10 south. Turn right onto Route 107 and continue towards Lameshur Bay. Park in the designated parking area near Lameshur Bay. From the parking area, the trailhead for Beehive Cove Lookout Point is a short walk away. Parking is free. Keep in mind that the roads can be narrow and winding.

Beehive Cove Lookout Point, nestled within the Lameshur Complex of St. John, is a rewarding destination for those seeking breathtaking vistas and a touch of historical intrigue. This scenic spot, easily accessible via well-maintained hiking trails, offers panoramic views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea meeting the horizon, framed by verdant hills and the island's rugged coastline. The hike to Beehive Cove is an experience in itself, with trails winding through lush greenery that provide ample opportunities for photography and birdwatching. The trails connect to the Tektite Trail, which provides access to Great Lameshur Bay and Cabritte Horn Point. Cabritte Horn Point is known as an excellent location to observe seabirds. Beehive Cove is also the site of the historic Tektite Project. In 1969, the U.S. Navy and General Electric constructed an underwater habitat in Beehive Cove as part of a joint research project. This habitat, resting 50 feet below the surface, housed aquanauts for extended periods, studying marine life and human behavior in an isolated environment. While the habitat is no longer visible, the cove remains a popular spot for snorkeling, with diverse marine life inhabiting the surrounding coral reefs.
